Lizzie is the author of three books. Egg: A Dozen Ovatures (W.W. Norton, 2023), explores a dazzling array of the world’s largest cellular workhorses. Pandora’s DNA (Chicago Review Press, 2014) examines the history and science of the breast cancer genes through the lens of her family tree. Leaving Mundania (Chicago Review Press, 2012) investigates the world of live action roleplay, or larp, a sort of grownup make believe practiced by hundreds of thousands of people throughout the world.
Lizzie also has a self-published monograph, Pocket Guide to American Freeform, about how to write, run, and play freeform games.
